Estrelas cintilantes (26)... Leon Trouet Motombo Mokuna

Quando falamos em “bombardeiro” do futebol o nome imediato que nos surge no pensamento é o da lenda alemã Gerd Muller, um avançado predador que fez do golo uma palavra habitual sempre que entrava em campo quer pela selecção alemã quer pelo seu Bayern de Munique. Ele pode ter sido o “bombardeiro” mais famoso da história do futebol, mas... não foi o único a ter herdado esta temível – sobretudo para os guarda-redes – alcunha que caracteriza o poder de fogo do “matadores” implacáveis na hora de atirar à baliza. Muller foi o terror dos guarda-redes durante a década de 70 do século passado, mas antes dele um possante avançado congolês protagonizou “um minuto de fama” durante a sua passagem do futebol europeu no que concerne à violência do seu remate certeiro, que lhe valeria as alcunhas de “fura-redes” e... “bombardeiro”. O seu nome é Leon Trouet Motombo Mokuna, personagem nascida a 1 de Junho de 1935, no Congo, e cujo trajecto de formação é por completo desconhecido, sabendo-se apenas que a sua aventura futebolística começou no Vita Club, do Congo, na temporada de 1953/54, numa altura em tinha já 18 anos de idade. Uma época que deve ter sido de glória para o então jovem avançado a julgar pelo facto de na época seguinte o Sporting Clube de Portugal ter recrutado os seus serviços para substituir o lendário Fernando Peyroteo na frente de ataque leonina! Desta forma Mokuna tornava-se no primeiro jogador congolês a transferir-se para a Europa, mas... substituir o astro Peyroteo era à partida tarefa impossível e ainda mais impossível seria para muitos ver o desconhecido africano entrar no “onze” de uma equipa que vinha de uma série de quatro títulos de campeão nacional consecutivos! Impossível para muitos mas não para Mokuna como explicam os seus 19 golos em 11 jogos na época de estreia de leão ao peito! Contudo a potência do “canhão” pareciam não ser atributos suficentes para manter Mokuna por muito mais tempo em Alvalade. O jovem congolês apresentava diversas lacunas ao nível técnico e na temporada seguinte (55/56) apenas por duas ocasiões vestiu a camisola dos leões, acabando no final da mesma por ser dispensado.
Regressaria ao seu país natal onde voltaria a envergar as cores do Vita Club. E assim o fez por apenas uma época, pois em 57/58 ele embarca numa nova aventura europeia, desta feita para a Bélgica para actuar no Gent. Ai o “bombardeiro” do Congo voltou a fazer uso do seu pontapé canhão que lhe daria o estatuto de estrela do futebol belga desde logo. O primeiro negro a actuar no futebol belga e logo com os desígnios de estrela! Assim sendo os responsáveis federativos daquele país logo trataram de naturalizar aquele que era já conhecido como o “Diabo Vermelho” dos campos de futebol da Bélgica. Porém, atitudes racistas da parte de vários seleccionadores belgas impedem que Mokuna represente a equipa principal do país, actuando somente pelo combinado “B” numa ou noutra ocasião. No Gent esteve quatro épocas, transferindo-se posteriormente para o Warengen onde actua de 61 a 66 e onde conquista o seu único título de campeão nacional (65/66) da sua carreira. Penduradas as chuteiras regressa novamente ao Congo onde abraça uma carreira de treinador, com passagens pelo Vita Club, pelos Lions, pelo Mazembe, e pelos Leopards. Depois disto o primeiro “bombardeiro” do futebol mundial desapareceu do mapa futebolístico...
